Much of the impetus behind EM4Fish is about advancing communications among stakeholders in this emerging sector or “space” that we’re all engaged in. The idea is that the sharing of ideas, methods, innovations and frustrations might just rebound to everyone’s benefit over time.
So it’s partly with that in mind that we’re introducing EM4Minutes, an occasional series of quick conversations with people working to improve data-streams and evolve fisheries management. We want to give you an opportunity to surface the work you or your organization are doing beyond your immediate circle of associates; to share your EM-related products, projects, RFPs, policy innovations or tech advances with the broadest possible audience; and to connect you with others who might benefit from your insights and experience.
Our first sit-down was with Raimundo Espinoza of Conservacion con Sciencia, a non-profit doing terrific work with the artisanal tuna and swordfish fleet in Puerto Rico.
If you have something you’d like to share, drop me a line at scott@em4.fish. I can assure you there are a lot of people out there who’d like to hear about it.
