Biography
Ruth works as a Science and Policy Analyst for United Catcher Boats, a seafood trade association representing the owners and operators of pollock and Pacific cod catcher vessels in the Bering Sea-Aleutian Islands. Working closely with counterparts in the Gulf of Alaska, EM service providers, EM video reviews, the National Marine Fisheries Service, and the North Pacific Fishery Management Council, she is actively working on the development, testing, and implementation of a regulatory program that would allow the use of EM for compliance monitoring in the pelagic pollock trawl catcher vessel fisheries of the Bering Sea-Aleutian Islands and Gulf of Alaska.
