Biography
Julie Bonney is the owner and Executive Director of Alaska Groundfish Data Bank (AGDB) in Kodiak, Alaska. AGDB has been a leader in industry efforts to improve monitoring and reduce bycatch in Gulf of Alaska trawl fisheries through management and cooperative research. Cooperative research projects include electronic monitoring (EM), alternative observer sampling techniques, halibut excluder tests in the cod trawl fishery and evaluating the use of salmon excluders in the pollock fisheries.
