Biography
Jillian is the Fisheries Director for Teem Fish Monitoring Inc. She began her fisheries career in offshore work along the east coast, USA as an at-sea monitor and observer in multiple gear types and locales, and has maintained a close connection to the realities of on-vessel work and coastal communities as she has moved into electronic monitoring. Jillian’s education, experience, and interests have consistently focused around collaboration of policy, sustainability, and local engagement to achieve stated goals for the communities she represents. As Fisheries Director, she is helping to create and lead programs that bring innovative solutions to fishing communities across the globe to help fishers achieve their monitoring and efficiency goals.
