Biography
Huff McGonigal has been working in the field of marine science and policy for 25 years. As principal of Fathom Consulting, since 2006 he has worked with state, federal, industry and NGO partners to help advance fishery improvement and modernization initiatives. Previously, Huff worked with Environmental Defense Fund as a Senior Project Manager, working to advance fisheries policy change and improvement projects that sought to align fishermen and conservation interests. Before that he worked with the National Marine Sanctuary Program, the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, and as a commercial diver. Huff earned his Juris Doctorate from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon and his Bachelor of Science from U.C. Santa Barbara and the University of Otago in New Zealand.
