Biography

Geoff is a population modeller that uses integrated modelling methods to inform and assist the decision making process for marine resource managers with regard to population status, historical and future population impacts, and the consequences of alternative management regimes. His work on both target fish and incidentally caught species (especially albatrosses) has led to an interest in improving the quality, quantity and efficiency of data collection to inform managers. Hence his interest in EM. Geoff is part of a team developing novel tools for the auto detection of catch from on-vessel video footage. See marinevistech.com.
