Deckhand Electronic Logbook (Real Time Data North America, LLC)

Biography

The Deckhand electronic logbook is a native iOS-based application developed by fisherman-founded Real Time Data Pty Ltd of Adelaide, Australia. After nearly a decade of development by senior iOS and full-stack software engineers, Deckhand has been serving fishermen in Australia and New Zealand as a state-of-the-art, customizable fisheries data management tool and alternative for paper-based reporting. Deckhand can be used with any fishery and gear type, and can report to virtually any regulator API (or send PDFs/CSVs if no API is available). In 2019 Deckhand underwent trials with fishermen in the United States, and a rollout of Deckhand and its FishBank data management framework is slated for 2020 for the US and Canada.
